Ethical, regenerative Gotland sheep farming on the Sunshine Coast of BC.
Located on eight hillside acres in Robert’s Creek, Hidden Hill Farm raises Gotland sheep with ethical, regenerative farming practices.
The pasture-raised flock is protected by livestock guardian dogs Rollo and Ellie. Together, they rotate through five sunny pastures to ensure the sheep always have access to fresh forbs and grasses.
Originally bred by the Vikings, modern Gotlands are a friendly and docile Scandinavian breed known for their silky silver wool and striking corkscrew locks. The wool is prized for felting, spinning, weaving and knitting.
Gotland fleece is incredibly luminous, with long, silky curls and a beautiful natural sheen. The colours range through smoky greys, silver tones, and deep charcoals that seem to catch and reflect the light.
To breed high percentage, high-quality Gotland sheep with love and respect for them while practicing slow, regenerative stewardship of the land we are lucky enough to live on.
